Common Sense
Common Sense was a performative collaboration between Philipp Kolychev, Roza Pogosian, Danil Tcytkin and Kiril Litviak. All participants share common attributes such as Russian background and critical look at politics of Russia. Therefore the happening took place at such significant place as Russian Embassy (CZ). This embassy is infamous by its allegedly strong and powerful connections to Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate. As concerned citizens we felt the strong urge to come forward and confront the FSB, GRU or who ever might be hiding under diplomatic cover.
Viewers and bypassers were invited to write their own variations of a specific Russian swear word onto the screen, which was then projected in real-time onto the embassy’s walls. The Common Sense happening can be seen as a reference to Voina’s Dick Captured by the FSB 2010 Piece on the Litenyi Bridge.
